Just as Damian used the juxtaposition of colours in designing the scenes of the novel, he has also played with opposing colours in the pieces he has created. A large scale model of a cathedral, stunning but dangerous place and backdrops to dramatic scenes in the book, is rendered in startling apple green. Damian uses the scale of the building’s model, and the contrast of the red horse against the green church to create a sense of majestic unease.
